Duncan Lawrie Private bank selected a Grade II listed building in Queens Square, Bristol, to become their regional headquarters. A legal firm had previously divided the rooms, decorated with woodchip wallpaper, plywood panels and florescent lights.
Designed by an architect in the 1960s on a hill with stunning views over the river Trym, this building was unsympathetically extended and refurbished in the 1970s. Thirty-five years later, it was in desperate need of updating and re-organising.
This is a mansion flat in Marylebone, London, on the Duke of Westminster estate. We were asked to completely refurbish the three-bedroom flat for a young family in a contemporary style in keeping with the building and their lifestyle.
Built by Stride Builders in the 1920s, this Bristol Arts and Crafts-styled house had only one previous owner. Besides basic maintenance and questionable décor, few improvements had been made. Goodchild Interiors was appointed to completely reconfigure and sympathetically update the building to become the primary residence for a modern family.
This Grade II listed, four-storey town house and shop in the historical heart of Bristol was converted from a building in need of updating and renovation into a contemporary live/work home.
In the 1980s these two cottages were converted into a family house with an added side extension, but remained a confused warren of interconnected rooms. We were asked to rationalise the space and update the aesthetic to take advantage of the views overlooking the Duchy of Cornwall estate and create a modern family home.
The kitchen is the heart of our home, where we cook, eat, relax and socialise. The following is a small sample of the bespoke kitchens we have designed for our clients, to illustrate different styles and budgets.
The bathroom is an intimate place to relax. It has to be organised, ergonomic and practical, but that doesn't mean that it can't be beautiful, with personality and style. The following examples show a sample of what we have achieved to date.
The following bedrooms have been designed by Goodchild Interiors as stand alone projects or as part of an overall scheme. Combining a dressing room, ensuite and bedroom with space to relax away from the bustle of everyday life is becoming very popular.
Is their ever enough storage? Our fitted furniture, bespoke utility and boot rooms, cupboards, laundries, airing cupboards and multi function rooms all have storage to blend with the architecture of the space.
Somewhere to relax and be yourself. Lighting, bespoke cabinetwork and furniture combine with the finishes to create a backdrop for individual personality and style.
